The choices you have for your Australia vacation are quite incredible,
From outback deserts to high country snow fields, from tropical rainforests to an unending string of wonderful Australian beaches, from the terraced vineyards of the Barossa Valley to the stark grandeur of the Kimberleys…. and everything in between.
No matter what your personal Australia vacation preferences may be you will find somewhere in this great land that caters to your needs.
No one website can do justice to all the holiday attractions throughout Australia, and this website is no different, but what we aim to do is to help you plan your visit to Australia by giving you an overview of what you can expect to find on your Australia vacation.
Australia vacations are great for extended holidays and summer fun particularly if you like the warmer weather.
Australia, as you know, is located in the Southern Hemisphere so when you want to escape a cold northern winter an Australia vacation is ideal.
If you can’t stand the heat, don’t stay out of the kitchen just plan your Australia vacation for the northern summer when you’ll find the climate in Australia to be very pleasantly warm in the northern parts.
You might even think about taking an cruise from Australia during this time of year.
Take your swim suit, your sun cream and your spending money and you will be all set for the trip of a lifetime.
When you first decide on taking an Australia vacation you will probably run into the challenge of trying to decide where to go because the options are simply endless.
So many places to see, so much to do it’s easy to get discouraged, however, you will certainly be able to book cheap airline flights within Australia to get around the country while you’re here so you’ll probably be able to see and do much more than you think.
That said, Australia is a very big place and distances between major centres can be very off-putting, just remember that unless you plan to live here you’ll never see it all so decide what you want to see before you come and then stick to your plan.
Visitors to Australia do need to take into account is the size of the country and the distances involved.
It is essential therefore that visitors make allowances for the time and travel involved in moving from one destination to another.
Australia does have a sophisticated tourism and hospitality industry with well trained staff, an excellent transport network and world class holiday accommodation ranging from B&B;’s to 5 star hotels and island resorts and the multicultural history of Australia is evident in the international cuisines that can be found in the many excellent restaurants and bistros throughout the country.
Australian vacations offer something for everyone no matter where you end up travelling in the country.
Sydney will enhance your sense of culture and history and Melbourne is an extremely cosmopolitan city full of great clubs and wonderful food..
Brisbane is one of the most laid back cities you’ll ever visit.
Other Australia vacations can take you into the outback where you can see the real Australia that you have only seen on television.
The Aborigines live throughout the country too and have a culture well worth discovering and if you can take a month for your Australian vacation then you will have the chance to really enjoy the experience.
Anything less than two weeks for your first trip to this diverse country will certainly leave you feeling a little let down that you couldn’t stay longer.
When planning your trip to Australia, you should keep in mind that the seasons of Australia are opposite to those in the Northern Hemisphere.
The warmest month is February, while the coldest is July.
The Outback a popular tourist destination, is often thought of as a desert, but only by those who’ve never been there.
Australia is also known for its “bush,” or scrub which is generally just country that is a little wild, not desert but not rural either.
Though a four wheel drive vehicle is necessary to get around in the desert or bush areas of Australia, in most major cities a car is not necessary.
If you do choose to rent a car, however, driving is on the left side of the road, same as England but on the wrong side for most of the world.
One of the most popular tourist arrival spots in Australia is Sydney and if you plan on staying in and around Sydney for a day or three we can point you in the direction of some wonderful local tours and attractions.
Diving on the Great Barrier Reef, feeding the wild dolphins at Monkey Mia, outback camping in the Red Centre, cruising the Murray River, hiking the Tasmanian wilderness areas, catching barramundi in the Top End….. the list of holiday activities is endless.
NOW when you come to take your vacation in Australia you’ll need somewhere to stay won’t you?
Luckily the task of finding accommodation in Australia just became a whole lot easier!
That little box on the right is not the usual link to a hotel booking site…
It searches the 30 biggest booking sites on the web and brings back all the prices for you, so you can make sure you get the best deal available.
Just enter your chosen dates and the city you want to stay in
…and you get taken to a page that lists what accommodation is currently available for that city on those dates and the best price for each.
Click on any individual hotel and you can see all the results for that hotel.
If you want a bigger or better located room than the cheapest one available, you can still see with one glance who has the best deal for that particular room.
On top of the best prices you also get information about the individual hotels and resorts, pictures, maps, reviews from travellers, all neatly presented and very user friendly.
Once you click “Select” on the best price, THEN you get taken to a booking site where you can find out more details about the offer.
I played with this myself before I put it here.
I compared it to the prices that the hotels offer on their own websites: this tool brought back the same or a better offer. (Up to 20% cheaper!)
I also compared it to what Flight Centre had to offer: Flight Centre was either sold out or more expensive.
I’m not one to be easily impressed, but…..
Try it out for yourself!
